The last two days at the CIPD Learning and Development Show have been a big success for us. The conference started quite slowly with not a lot of traffic on the first day. We learnt during the day that there was a strike of the Underground in London and so many people could not make it. And so not surprisingly the second day was very busy making up for the shortfall of the first day.
The most popular demos at the booth turned out to be on Health & Safety and Information Security. But we also had visitors specifically interested in the Railways sector which is one of our areas of expertise.
Johannes’s talk on “Using Films and Animation to Make eLearning Entertaining & Effective” also went well and attracted a respectable crowd.
In most of the interactions our team had with visitors to our booth the recurring demand was for “something new, something fresh”. The eLearning market in the UK is one of the most mature in Europe and so it is not surprising that UK companies are now looking beyond the stale and (often) boring Web Based Trainings and are showing great interest in video content.
We see a very big potential for us in this market and look forward to engaging with it in the coming months and years.
